In partnership with FaZe Clan, Kiari Kendrell "Offset" Cephus is leading the streetwear-meets-esports scene. The rap star made an appearance at the launch of the collaborative drop at The FaZe Arcade, on Melrose Avenue, on Monday, December 16, and we got to meet, greet and check their collection in first hand.

One third of the hip-hop trio Migos, Offset announce in August that he was FaZe Clan's newest investor. Part of the online gaming community, NBA 2K and Call of Duty are among his favorite titles, which he claims to bring him closer to the esports world. The gaming collective goes far beyond esports competitions and content creation, with a streetwear brand that sells out almost instantly, described by the artist as "fire". In an interview with The Verge, Offset compared FaZe Clan players to rockstars:

"They’re living like how I’m living as an artist. This doesn’t happen to everyone. [...] The actual players, they’re like rock stars, they’ve got great followings, they influence kids, and that’s what I do. It was just organic. These guys are cool."

Offset explains that investing in an organization like FaZe Clan is not simply a cash cow, "The reason I chose to invest in FaZe and become part of the family is they are the biggest and best in the industry and our creative energy together is unstoppable," said the artist. Greg Selkoe, president of FaZe Clan stated that the FaZe Arcad has exceeded the team's expecations: "[...] we're hyped to build on our partnership with Offset and support his creative genius and love of gaming to redefine the crossroads of music, culture and gaming with his collection."
