FlyQuest Academy has signed two new players for the 2020 season. Mid Laner Stephen "Triple" Li will be moving to the squad from the OPL, and veteran Bot Laner Brandon "Mash" Phan was announced by FlyQuest the day prior to Triple’s announcement.

Triple spent the past competitive season as the Mid Laner for MAMMOTH, and was a bright spot for the OCE representative despite its failure to move past the Worlds 2019 Play-In. Triple is the latest of many OPL talents to find a new home in North America, and should benefit greatly from practicing against FlyQuest Mid Laner Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage.

Mash, originally known as DontMashMe, has been playing League of Legends competitively for nearly a decade. Despite not starting in the LCS for over two seasons, Mash has found a home as the Bot Laner of FlyQuest Academy. Mash has started in the NA LCS for Team Impulse, Phoenix1, and Echo Fox, and his near-nine years of competitive experience will be integral for the development of Support JayJ, who voiced his excitement in regards to competing with his new duo partner.

FlyQuest Academy now has a solid balance of young, promising domestic talent in JayJ and Top Laner Mohamed "Revenge" Kaddoura, but now, also have a veteran to help set a team culture and lead through experience in Mash, as well as a promising minor region import in Triple for the 2020 season.
