On the 4th (KST), DragonX (DRX) announced their newest addition to their League of Legends roster, Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon as their newest top laner. In addition, Ryu "Keria" Min-seok and Hong "Pyosik" Chang-hyeon have been called up to the main roster in the support and jungle role respectively.
Originally known for being a Kled ‘one-trick’, Doran first debuted in the Korean pro scene under KeG Seoul. His debut with Griffin was in the Summer of 2019, subbing in for their long-time starting top laner, Choi "Sword" Sung-won. However, with the recent controversy surrounding Griffin, all the players were granted FA status, with Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon and Son "Lehends" Si-woo parting ways with the team.
With DRX's 2-3 loss against DAMWON Gaming in the last round of the gauntlet, DRX failed to qualify for the 2019 LoL World Championships. Since then, every single member of the team but Kim "Deft" Hyuk-gyu has left the team, and the team is slowly rebuilding their roster. With Doran and cvMax reuniting in a new team, DRX prepares for their ascent in 2020.
