According to a report by ESPN Esports’ Jacob Wolf, Dignitas has filled the starting five for its LCS roster by acquiring  Mid Laner Henrik “Froggen” Hansen and Jungler Jonathan “Grig” Armao; as well as signing  Support Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black.

Sources told InvenGlobal that Dignitas was struggling to sign players after signing star Top Laner Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon to a reportedly gargantuan two-year contract exceeding $2 million.

Shortly after the report, DIG confirmed the signing of Johnson "Johnsun" Nguyen as the team's starting AD Carry, but Wolf's report states that DIG attempted to sign Zachary "Sneaky" Scuderi, but were unable to reach an agreement.

Froggen and Grig’s contracts were acquired by Dignitas from Golden Guardians and TSM, respectively. Froggen was not expected to stay on the GGS roster due to the signing of C9 Academy Mid Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer, and Grig’s tenure with TSM had clearly run its course run with the signing of Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett. Aphromoo was released by 100 Thieves last month in favor of promoting 100 Thieves Academy Support Stunt to the main roster.

Dignitas’ roster still possesses clear point of strength in Huni, and Froggen also had an impressive individual campaign in the 2019 LCS. Should Aphromoo return to form as he began to at the end of last season’s Summer Split and provide a veteran presence for rookie Bot Laner Johnssun, playoff qualification should be within DIG’s reach in 2020 LCS Spring.
