Oscar "Shinku" Jaimes has won the 2019 BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Grand Finals. Down 2-1 in the Grand Finals on the winners side, the Crescent Esports star came back from a sliver of health to force a game 5 against Kamei "Kyamei" Hiroyuki. Shinku would ride his comeback momentum into a game 5 victory and subsequently, the BB Tag 2019 Championship. 

Shinku's 1st place finish netted him a cool $20,000 with a trophy to immortalize his triumph. Like YMST, who won the BlazBlue: Central Fiction Grand Finals earlier in the day, Shinku also won a brand new OBSIDIAN fighting game joystick to go with his prize money and new hardware. 

Shinku's win at ArcRevo America 2019 comes only a few months after his historic EVO 2019 perfromance. Matched up against Kyamei at EVO as well, Shinku became the first American player to win a BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle major.  Shinku also secured his first championship at Frosty Faustings XI, a tier 2 tournament  at the beginning of the year.

Shinku looks ready to continue to make history for the North American BBTag community, and if Kyamei has anyting to say about it, the Grand Finals showdown at ArcRevo 2019 is just the beginning of an escalating rivalry.
