On the 26th, SK Telecom T1 took down Splyce with a set score of 3-1 in the third quarterfinal match of the 2019 LoL World Championship. With this victory over Splyce, they are the first LCK team to qualify for the semifinals.

SKT’s legendary Mid laner, Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok, joined Sjokz and Hyunseon 'Hajin' Park in the official Riot Games English broadcast for the post-match interview to share his thoughts about the victory.

Congratulations on the victory! What does it mean to make it into the semifinals once again?

I’m thrilled to make it into the semifinals once again, and I’ll make sure to perform better than today to make it all the way to the finals.

Even though you’re the favorites to take the championship, what would you say the challenges were in facing Splyce?

I think our team made a lot of mistakes. Splyce was also very proactive around the map, so I think it was a hard fought series.

In this series, you’ve hit a big milestone in your career with your 100th international win. How do you feel?

Physically hearing that I’ve gotten my 100th win kind of makes it seem like a small achievement. I’ll work harder to get my 200th one day.

The last time we saw SKT on the international stage was at MSI, and the journey ended for you at the semifinals. What’s different about this SKT at Worlds?

I think that our in-game performance is on a higher level. However, there’s still room for improvement, so if we improve, I think we could win the championship.

Your next match is either DAMWON from LCK or that rematch vs G2. Who would you prefer to face, and why?

It doesn’t really matter who our opponent will be. I think that facing G2 will mean that we get our revenge match, so that’s going to be fun.
