FunPlus Phoenix defeated GAM Esports in their opening match but lost to Splyce in their second, sending them to their last match vs J Team, both with a 3-2 record. By their final scheduled game, Splyce had already qualified for the Knockout Stage, making it an elimination/qualification match. 

Winner moves on, loser goes home.

Luckily for the LPL fans, FPX took the match in a sub-thirty minute stomp, sending them into a tiebreaker for first seed with side selection (awarded for having the fastest win times). That match will determine the seeding, and then FPX and Splyce will find out who they draw after the last game of the Group Stage on Sunday Oct. 20th.
