Seoul Dynasty player Ryu “ryujehong” Je-hong had some issues with American Airlines.
On the 30th, ryujehong tweeted he had an issue with American Airlines. On his flight to LA from Philadelphia, he was assigned a seat in the last row. After getting on the plane, a flight attendant instructed him to move his seat without explanation. When asked why, the flight attendant’s answer was, “Because I said so.” When asked again about the reason, the answer was, “Do you want me to kick you out right now?”
In a long Tweet, ryujehong expressed his disappointment with American Airlines and asserted that he didn’t want to ride this airline again. As ryujehong tweeted this incident, multiple Korean publications reported this as ‘racism’, and many Korean fans have been reacting to this news. Below is the full translation of his Tweet.
This is what happened just now. I was assigned the last row seat during check-in. After I boarded the plane, a flight attendant told me to move my seat without any explanations. I didn’t know why I had to move, and with Hoonmaru interpreting, I asked why I had to move. The answer was “Because I said so.” When I asked again, the answer was, “Do you want to kick you out right now?” I didn’t intend to refuse to move seats; I was just wondering why I had to move. Although I was really frustrated and angry, it wasn’t a situation where I can get off the plane nor did I want to, because I had to go home. Eventually, I moved seats. Later, I got an explanation that I had to move because there was no monitor in the back seat. It would have been a lot more convenient if they explained why I had to move in the first place. I don’t want to ride on this airline again. I’m very disappointed with the customer service, and it makes me sad that only bad things happen to me. We both wouldn’t have had to be offended if only they told me the reason in the first place.
