Shock stayed a step ahead of Titans throughout the entirety of the series. While Seo "Seominsoo" Min-soo and Kim "Haksal" Hyo-Jong were able to match the level of Reaper/Doomfist from the likes of Gwon "Striker" Nam-joo and Jay "sinatraa" Won, Titans seemed thrown completely for a loop when Shock brought out a composition that had served them invaluably throughout the playoffs: Mei/Bastion.

Kim "Rascal" Dong-Jun and Park "Architect" Min-ho took control of the DPS line for Shock on Eichenwalde for Map 2, and on Mei and Bastion respectively, completely annihilated Titans for the entirety of the second map.  Shock finished the full Eichenwalde map on offense, bringing the Payload all the way to map's end with nearly three minutes left on the clock. Titans, only able to secure three kills on defense, could not match Shock's dynamic offense, and fell further behind 2-0.

While Seominsoo continuously played excellently on Reaper, and Haksal was able to flex from Doomfist to Mei himself adequatly enough, the versatility of Shock's DPS line was too much to overcome. Not only does Shock have four starter-worthy DPS players, but those players can play far more heroes. Rascal, who has even flexed to Support for Shock throughout the season, switched from the Mei/Bastion combo with Architect to put in some work on Pharah on Gibraltar in map 4.

Vancouver Titans has plenty of talented individual players, and there were multiple instances of a single Titan taking over the map for his team temporarily, but any individual heroic efforts were swept away by the unrelenting, ever-flexibile cohesiveness displayed by Shock, interchangeable parts and all. Congratulations to NRG Esports and its 2019 Overwatch League champion franchise San Francisco Shock.
