[2019 LCK Summer Finals] Faker Claims His Eighth LCK Trophy

The unkillable demon-king rises again.


31st August (KST), The No.1 League of Legends team in LCK, SKT T1 faced their brand-new rival, Griffin and defeated them 3-1. With this result, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok claimed his sixth LCK Trophy since LCK reformed from tournament system to regular season.   


Faker, also known as the unkillable demon-king made his debut Feb. 2013 and has been playing as an SKT T1 player for seven years. SKT T1 was underperforming at the beginning of the 2019 summer split, but they started their march to LCK finals since the Rift Rivals ended.


Especially during the playoffs, Faker showed amazing performances, which can be compared with his best season, 2015. This finals was Faker’s seventh final stage and sixth trophy of his entire career.

 

*Note: SKT and Faker have 6 Championships after the league was reorganized to LCK. Including the championships before the reorganization, they have 8 championships.
