The final event of the GIRLGAMER Esports Festival is currently under development for Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Hosted by Galaxy Racer Esports in partnership with Meydan One, Evoloop and Grow uP, the festival's world finals event will take place from December 12th to the 14th and will be the last stage of the GIRLGAMER Esports Festival World Tour.

The tournament will have qualifying stages around the world, including South Korea, Spain, Brazil and Australia. Each of these stages will lead up to the main event in Dubai.

In addition, the world finals event will feature a business conference that highlights talks and lectures by esports industry leaders. Topic range from everything to awareness panel discussion, a GIRLGAMER Award ceremony that celebrates women working in esports, to chances to meet with professional players and ask them questions.

Comment from Fernando Pereira. Organizer of the GIRLGAMER Esports Festival.

We are very enthusiastic about bringing our event to Dubai and incredibly happy to have found such amazing partners to join us in the mission towards inclusivity. Diversity is at the heart of everything we do, and the GIRLGAMER World Finals will help bring global attention to the incredible gender equality work being done in the region. We also hope to inspire the young generation to grow up more inclusively and parents to develop better relationships with their children

Comment from Fahad Abdulrahim Kazim.Vice President, Meydan Malls.

This is a very exciting and proud moment for us. To be partnering with GIRLGAMER to bring one of the world’s most exciting, and forward-thinking esports concepts to the Middle East is a real honour, and something that exemplifies the DNA of Meydan One and solidifies our commitment to the ever-growing world of esports

While the concept of all-women esports tournaments has been tried before with mixed success, The GIRLGAMER Esports Festival has some positive momentum behind it.

The last qualifier held in Syndey Australia for Oceaniac teams reached 1.3 million unique viewers worldwide and the next qualifier in Seoul, South Korea on September 8th may be poised for the same success considering South Korea culture of esports as a major form of entertainment.
