The extension will continue State Farm's sponsorship of the LCS, but will also extend the partnership to LoL Esports' global stage. The Mid-Season Invitiational, the League of Legends World Championship, and the All-Star Event will all be sponsored by State Farm across the next three season of LoL Esports.

“We’re proud to announce that State Farm is extending their sponsorship with League of Legends esports and the LCS, reaffirming the unparalleled value and opportunities that our sport delivers to brands,”said Naz Aletaha, Head of Esports Partnerships at Riot Games.“State Farm has a rich history of sponsoring some of the biggest sports and athletes in the world, and we were thrilled to be their first-ever sponsorship in the esports space at the start of our 2018 season.

The State Farm segments on the LCS broadcast — 'Assist of the Week', 'I'm Helping', and 'Level-Up' — are included in the extension in addition to the other integrated broadcast content provided by State Farm for the LCS stream.

The Digital Cheerboard printers that fans can use to make signs when attending LCS will not only continue to be at the LCS arena in Santa Monica, but will also follow the lead of the 2019 LCS Spring Finals in St. Louis. Digital cheerboards will now be available for creation at all home and away LCS events for the duration of the extension. LCS Finals and international LoL Esports events will also feature "Cospitality Tents" in which fans can connect over shared passion for cosplay.

State Farm's extension with LoL Esports will also include sponsorship of the League of Legends College Championship. Program Lead for Collegiate League of Legends Esports Michael Sherman emphasized the new aspect of the partnership's direct impact on the already burgeoning collegiate LoL scene:

“Last year, we introduced State Farm as the first ever sponsor of the League of Legends College Championship. Since then, the College League of Legends competitive field has grown to more than 350 schools. We’re thrilled to have State Farm on board as we continue down our path of making League of Legends an inclusive, generational, college sport."

The 2019 League of Legends College Championship begins on Thursday, May 23. The event, which will be hosted at the LCS Arena, will run through the weekend with the Finals taking place on Sunday, May 26.
