On the 18th (KST), Gen.G Esports League of Legends team announced through their official Twitter account that they’re recruiting players in all positions. The details of their announcement for recruitment are as follows.

Positions:
- All positions

Qualifications:
- LoL Master tier or above
- Those who have NOT been involved in boosting accounts or any major suspensions
- Those who are eligible to travel abroad

Preferred candidates:
- Players that can play immediately in the 2019 LCK Summer Split
- Players with experience in pro play

Players can apply via email to edgar@geng.gg, sending their names, birthdate, summoner name, tier, phone number, and experience. The successful candidates will go through online and offline tests and will be interviewed afterward.

Gen.G had participated in the 2019 LCK Spring Split and had an underwhelming finish in 7th place with a 5-13 (-12) record. They are aiming to regain the glory they had back in 2017, when they won Worlds as Samsung Galaxy.
