Babybay began his career in the inaugural season of the Overwatch League, starting alongside Dante "Danteh" Cruz as the starting DPS line of the San Francisco Shock. When Jay "sinatraa" Won turned 18 and became eligible to play, Babybay rotated DPS positions with Danteh and sinatraa and made good use of his hitscan specialty on heroes like Widowmaker and McCree. When Minho "Architect" Park joined, Babybay found himself off of primary Widowmaker duty in a hitscan specialist role.

While the Shock traded Danteh to the Houston Outlaws before season 2 of the Overwatch League, additions of Korean DPS players Kim "Rascal" Dong-jun and Kwon "Striker" Nam-joo left even less space for Babybay than before. Babybay talked about his potential in a hyper-specialized role similar to New York Excelsior's Kim "Pine" Do-hyeon, but due to the consistency of the GOATS meta, Babybay did not see a moment of play in stage 1 of the 2019 Overwatch League.

In joining the Atlanta Reign, Babybay will once again be provided with an opportunity to start. A 5th DPS is not necessarily a need for the San Francisco Shock, and Babybay's affinity for hitscan heroes will help fill the Dafran-shaped hole in the Atlanta Reign's roster ahead of stage 2. Babybay will also be reuniting with a former teammate in Dusttin "Dogman" Bowerman, as well as his former coach in Head Coach Brad "Sephy" Rajani.

In a twitlonger post detailing his move to Atlanta, Babybay had kind words towards for his former organization and teammates:

"The Shock grew so much and we all really became a close brotherhood and I will miss seeing everyone everyday! There's no question this team will be a top 3 team in the league this season and I wish the Shock the best of luck."

Catch Babybay and the rest of ATL Reign in their first stage 2 match against the Boston Uprising on Friday, April 5th.
