Riot Korea revealed the many records from the 2019 LCK Spring Split which was held from January 16th to March 31st (KST).
Griffin’s mid laner, Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon, was awarded MVP for the regular season with 1,300 MVP points. The contest with Kingzone DragonX’s Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu was neck-and-neck until the end, but in the last match between Griffin and Jin Air Green Wings, Chovy was confirmed as the sole MVP winner. Chovy will receive a 500 M won (≒ 4400 USD).
Chovy once recorded a KDA of 104 (up to 115 until Game 2 against SANDBOX Gaming) and led the team to 1st place in the regular season. The MVP is decided by the voting of the analyst desk, observers, and the media on site.

Other than the award winners, some interesting stats were revealed. The player with the most kills was SK Telecom T1’s bot laner, Park “Teddy” Jin-seong who had 161 kills in 44 games, Gen.G Esports’ Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk and Viper followed with 149 kills, 143 kills respectively.

For the vision score, the support and jungle players were clearly ahead. SANDBOX Gaming’s Cho “Joker” Jae-eup had 2,869 wards placed, Mata had 2,656, and Gen.G Esports’ Kim “Life” Jeong-min had 2,553. As for the wards destroyed, Han “Peanut” Wang-ho had 952, SANDBOX Gaming’s Kim “OnFleek” Jang-
The damage per minute (DPM) was mostly bot laners. Kingzone DragonX bot laner Deft had an average DPM of 636 and topped the ranking. Teddy followed with 570, and
The regular season MVP and KDA no.1, Chovy’s ability was also visible in the solo kill ranking. He recorded 16 solo kills, ahead of Nuguri who had 15. Afreeca Freecs top laner Kim “Kiin” Gi-in had 13, and Khan and Tarzan were tied at 4th with 10. Top laner Song “Smeb” Kyung-ho of kt Rolster was also close behind with 9.
The regular season of 2019 LCK Spring Split ended last weekend and is waiting for the postseason matches to be played. Griffin earned themselves a bye to the finals; on the 3rd, the wild-card match between SANDBOX Gaming and DAMWON Gaming will be held, on the 5th will be the 1st round of playoffs, the semifinals on the 7th, and the finals will be on the 13th.
