Goldenglue, who has led Cloud9 Academy to a first place 14-4 finish in the 2019 NA Academy League Spring Split, will be subbing in for Yasin "Nisqy" Dincer to face off against Echo Fox's Kim "FeniX" Jae-hun. The announcement was made in a tweet by C9 Head Coach Bok "Reapered" Han-gyu Friday evening:

As Reapered's tweet states, Goldenglue's 2019 LCS debut marks the return of Cloud9's "Swole Bros" in Goldenglue and Jungler Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen. During Cloud9's resurgence in the 2018 NA LCS Summer Split, Svenskeren and Goldenglue built synergy on Cloud9 Academy while Robert "Blaber" Huang's LCS debut was a revelation for the main roster.

However, the Swole Bros were incorporated as substitutes during Cloud9 Academy's summer championship run, and afterwards, became full-fledged members of the 7 man roster for Cloud9's 2018 NA LCS Summer Playoff run. Svenskeren eventually reclaimed his starting spot from Blaber, but the six man roster rule at the 2018 World Championship barred Goldenglue from competing.

If Goldenglue proves himself against FOX, he will have more opportunities to prove valuable to a unique context as the 2019 LCS Spring Playoffs draw closer.
