South Korea’s Dplus claimed the 2024 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship on Sunday, edging out fierce competition at London’s ExCeL Centre to secure the trophy and a large portion of the event’s record $3 million prize pool.
The three-day tournament, which marked the end of the 2024 PUBG MOBILE Esports season, featured 16 teams battling across 18 matches. Dplus delivered three victories and earned 153 points, emerging just one point ahead of its nearest rival. The finish capped off a hard-fought weekend that saw squads trade eliminations in tense final circles, fueling cheers from a packed international crowd.
The championship’s opening day included standout showings from Falcons Force of Mongolia and Nigma Galaxy, as well as a powerful run by 4Merical Vibes, whose aggressive style netted a match win and 23 eliminations. Team Spirit claimed two victories, while Dplus closed the day with a strategic grenade play to secure first place in a match.
Day two brought significant shifts in the standings as Turkey’s Regnum Carya Bra Esports vaulted from 12th to 1st place, employing innovative vehicle tactics and timed flanks to gain ground. By the end of the second day, Regnum Carya Bra, Dplus and DRX formed a tight pack at the top.
The final day delivered the tightest action. INFLUENCE RAGE, Nigma Galaxy and Regnum Carya Bra all took turns grabbing wins, creating a razor-thin margin at the summit of the leaderboard. The decisive final match featured unexpected circle shifts and high-stakes maneuvers as Dplus secured a hillside position to clinch the title by a single point.
With the curtain now closed on 2024, players and organizations are preparing for an expanded 2025 season. PUBG MOBILE Esports plans to increase investment in grassroots competitions, third-party tournaments and new pathways for emerging talent, hoping to foster a more inclusive global ecosystem that connects amateurs with top-tier professionals.
