Some of the world’s top content creators traded their keyboards for track shoes this weekend at “Ludwig’s Streamer Games,” a creator-centric athletic competition that combined traditional sports with a unique twist. The two-day event, held at Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, CA, culminated on Sunday evening with Team Red Bull claiming the title of Ludwig’s Streamer Games Champion.
The event, conceptualized by Red Bull player Ludwig Ahgren and co-created with Red Bull and offbrand, saw 32 popular streamers, including Valkyrae, LilyPichu, Mizkif, and Michelle Khare, compete in a series of events ranging from track & field to whimsical schoolyard games. Standout events included the Tungsten Cube Toss, the 99M + 1M Dash, Volleyball, Gymnastics, Game of BULL, Simon Says, and Tug of War.
Team Red Bull, featuring Ludwig, Cloud9’s Mang0, iamfallfromgrace, and Lachlan, emerged victorious after a weekend of intense competition. Cloud9’s Mang0 shined in the gymnastics event, helping secure his team’s place at the top. “I feel blessed to have so many awesome friends to support me with this event, and a solid team with offbrand, Red Bull, and Streamlabs to help make my dumb ideas come to life,” Ludwig said.
Other notable performances included 100 Thieves’ Vinnie Hacker, who won the 99M Dash, and top contenders ExtraEmily and Valkyrae in Simon Says, led by professional Simon Says caller Steve Max. Commentary throughout the event was provided by Ludwig, Krystalogy, and Berleezy, adding an extra layer of entertainment for the over 1,200 fans in attendance.
Beyond the competition, attendees enjoyed Red Bull’s on-site activities, including sign making, face painting, and a variety of food trucks, all set to live music. The event was a resounding success, with over 10 million views across social media platforms.
Ludwig’s Streamer Games not only showcased the athletic abilities of some of the most popular content creators but also fostered camaraderie among competitors and fans alike. The event’s success signals a promising future for creator-driven competitions.
