The following was sent as a press release to Inven Global.
Today at the 2024 PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) main stage, as part of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, PUBG MOBILE Esports revealed the exciting details of new and upcoming circuits. Included in this announcement is the reveal of a brand new PUBG MOBILE tournament set in the Metro Royale gamemode, alongside wider details of the 2024 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) set to take place at the ExCel Auditorium in London later this year. With these announcements, fans have plenty to set their eyes on as the conclusion of the inaugural 2024 PMWC draws near.
Kicking off the announcements, James Yang, Senior Director of Global Esports at Level Infinite, revealed the location and slots of the 2024 PMGC. This final competition in the 2024 PUBG MOBILE Esports circuit will be hosted in the ExCel Auditorium in London, United Kingdom — one of the most popular and prestigious venues for gaming events. Tickets will be available to the public from August, where fans can secure themselves a seat in this stunning venue for the Grand Finals to witness all the action live from December 6th-8th.
The format of this year’s 2024 PMGC is much like the last, with changes to qualifying slots following the introduction of new regional PUBG MOBILE Super League (PMSL) series at the start of 2024. For invited slots, 15 teams will qualify, including two teams from Japan, four from PEL, two from South Korea, the winner of the PUBG MOBILE Rivals Cup S2, the PMWC Champions Region, and five special invites.
For the remaining slots, 10 South East Asian teams will qualify from the top five positions of the PMSL SEA Fall, the top four positions by PMGC points for the region, and the winner of the PUBG MOBILE Challengers League (PMCL) Fall. In a similar format, 8 Central and South America teams will qualify from the top four positions of the PMSL CSA Fall, and the top four positions by PMGC points for the region. Moving up to the wider Americas, 6 teams will qualify from the top three teams from the PMSL Americas Fall, alongside the top three by PMGC points for the region. Finally, 9 teams from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, including the top five from the PMSL EMEA Fall, and the top four positions by PMGC points for the region.
The big reveals did not stop there, as a brand new PUBG MOBILE Esports circuit was revealed — Metro Royale Esports. Introduced to PUBG MOBILE in 2021, Metro Royale offers fans a new way to play in an all-or-nothing PvPvE mode. The aim of the game is to secure loot whilst fending off enemy players and AI along the way, extracting with all the newfound gear, boasting an impressive elimination count in doing so. More details are to be revealed, but fans can expect some incredible performances as this much-loved gamemode is set to join the PUBG MOBILE Esports catalogue.
With these major announcements offering fans plenty to look forward to, focus returns to the 2024 PMWC, as tomorrow will see the crowning of the inaugural champion. Only one team can stand above the rest and earn their place in PUBG MOBILE Esports history, securing the title, trophy, and lion’s share of the $3,000,000 USD prize pool.
Fans can tune into the final day of the 2024 PMWC tomorrow, July 28th, on PUBG MOBILE Esports’ YouTube, Facebook and Twitch channels. For more PUBG MOBILE Esports news, stay tuned on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube.
