Recently, the LCK has faced disruptions in its schedule due to consecutive DDoS attacks, prompting the league to take drastic measures. Due to ongoing DDoS attacks, the LCK announced that all remaining matches for this week will be conducted as private recorded broadcasts starting from today.

The first match suspected of being affected by DDoS attacks occurred on the 25th between DRX and Dplus KIA. Persistent network issues led to a delay of over four hours, resulting in the postponement of the match between OK BRION and Kwangdong Freecs, which was scheduled after the match between DRX and Dplus KIA.

Then, just yesterday (28th), during the match between T1 and FearX, DDoS attacks made it difficult to proceed with the game, ultimately leading to game 2 being conducted as a private recorded broadcast. Following the first DDoS attack last Sunday, the LCK began efforts to prevent and defend against further attacks, but realistically, completely thwarting DDoS attacks is nearly impossible.

Ultimately, the feared scenario occurred during the T1 and FearX match, prompting the LCK to take the extraordinary measure of converting all remaining matches for this week to private broadcasts. Tickets for the matches on Feb. 29 and Mar. 1 will be refunded, and ticket sales will be suspended until further notice.
