From Sep. 15 through 17, the 2023 PUBG Nations Cup was held in Seoul, South Korea. Players from 16 countries gathered to declare the best nation in PUBG. The teams fought in 18 games over three days, six games each day, under the SUPER rule.

Compared to the previous PNC competitions, maps Vikendi and Taego were added, which featured more exciting battles. After three days, South Korea was crowned as the champions with 172 points and 3 WWCDs. The team rose to the top of the leaderboard at the end of day 2 and never let go of the lead. After a 20-kill WWCD on day 3, the tides were unturnable. South Korea will receive $100,000 prize money plus a portion of the skin sales.

The defending champions, United Kingdom, collected 140 points and ended up in 2nd place. Vietnam, who showcased aggressive fighting throughout the games, scored 138 points and finished 3rd. United Kingdom will receive $40,000 prize money, and Vietnam will receive $25,000.

Cho “seoul” Gi-yeol had a spectacular performance over the three days and was announced as the MVP of the tournament. With 34 kills, 34 knockouts, and 7,208 damage, seoul had the best performance over all players, aiding his team in the championship run. Park "Loki" Jung-young, who has the most decorated career in PUBG esports, added another trophy to his cabinet.

The next international PUBG esports event will come in November, with the PUBG Global Championship. The event will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from Nov. 18 through Dec. 3, and will feature the best teams around the world.
