In the grand finals of the 2023 LCK Spring Split, T1 and Gen.G fought to claim the spring championship. Gen. G came up on top at the end of a blockbuster series to hoist the championship trophy. As Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan had an outstanding performance throughout the series, he was named MVP for the finals.
Peyz first debuted in the LCK this season, and many people doubted Gen.G for having an inexperienced bot duo this season. However, the bot duo often pulled through to help Gen.G reach the finals. In the finals as well, Peyz had an amazing performance, becoming one of the few players to win the championship in their debut season. Peyz will be awarded 5M KRW (≒ 3,800 USD) and a bracelet from Tiffany and Co.
Gen.G will be heading to the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational held in London as LCK’s first seed. T1 will accompany them as the second seed.
