According to a report by Alejandro Gomis of Blix.gg, legendary mid T1 mid laner and three-time World Champion Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok has been exploring roster offers from multiple LCS teams. The report goes on to detail that both FlyQuest and Team Liquid expressed interest in him, with the latter even making an offer following negotiations with the 2022 Worlds finalist.
Gomis' report goes on to explain that there is a "strong chance" Faker will remain with T1, and is only exploring his options. It is not the first time Faker has looked at different options in free agency, as pointed about by esports personality Christopher "MonteCristo" Mykles, who stated in a tweet that "it’s that time of year when Faker uses free agency to boost his offer from T1."
As mentioned in the tweet and in the report, Faker is expected to resign with T1 — an organization he not only has a decade-long history with, but one he has part-ownership of. He is by far the longest-serving player on T1's roster.
The year was without a doubt incredibly strong for Faker: achieving a record-breaking winning streak, winning an LCK championship, and making the finals of both the Mid-Season Invitational and Worlds. However, it was no doubt disappointing for Faker and those supporting them — narrowly losing both international events.
Faker is largely considered the greatest player of all time, and the most high-profile player in the world. He is noted for being the most successful player in history and is praised for his mastery of the game. While for years he was considered the most skilled player in the world and the primary carry of his team, he has taken a stronger leadership role recently — guiding the younger players on the team, such as Ryu "Keria" Min-seok and Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong.
