Once again, the League of Legends World Championship is arriving. 2022 has been an exciting year for the esport — with my twists and turns throughout many different regions. After an interesting group draw, fans from around the world eagerly await the action.

One of the exciting aspects of Worlds for fans is the Pick'Em challenge.  Fans can compete with their friends, as well as the rest of the world, as they enjoy the international tournament. Inven Global presents all the necessary information to dominate and enjoy this fun challenge during the tournament.

What is Pick'Em?

According to Riot's description, the Pick'Em is "a game of predictions and upsets: make your picks for which teams will win and lose, earn points, and fight your way to the top of the Global Leaderboard." In addition to competing amongst the greater League of Legends community, participants can play against their friends in smaller groups, as well as compare their results to famous League personalities.

How can you participate?

Participating in the Pick'Em is very simple: by clicking "Get Started" on the Pick'Em page (while logged in to one's Riot Games account), fans can navigate to the Crystal Ball section and immediately get into the action of posting their predictions. Predictions options will continue to open up as the tournament progresses.

The challenge is not available in several regions, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Crimea, Donetsk People’s Republic (“DNR”), Luhansk People’s Republic (“LNR”), Sudan, Venezuela, Syria, China, Quebec, Taiwan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Myanmar.

How does scoring work?

Play-In Stage: Five points are awarded for correct picks during the Play-Ins Knockout stage.

Group Stage:  Two points are awarded for every correction prediction of teams qualifying for the Quarterfinals (plus three more points if placed in the right order).  Two points are awarded for correctly predicting third and fourth place (two more points for the whole group).

Knockout Stage: The stakes get higher from here on out — correct predictions for the Quarterfinals earns five points, Semifinals earn ten, and Worlds Finals grant twenty.
