CS:GO might be among the leading esports in the scene, but it's certainly not safe from disruptive bugs, including on the biggest of stages. PGL Major Antwerp 2022, ForZe and Team Vitality encountered a clipping bug, which eventually got Vitality's Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen dead. And in a game as competitive as CSGO — where the pros are able to make split-second headshots at the first glimpse of an enemy — this is a deadly, potentially game-deciding bug.

Dupreeh was the only alive player on Vitality in a 1v2 clutch in round 6, approaching the B bombsite with his last health — but he never got the chance to make a play. ForZe's Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko spotted dupreeh's weapon through B Doors and immediately sniped him out.

This is not new to CSGO or the pro scene. A similar incident took place at another Major back in October 2021, causing Asralis to lose the round. At the time, players urged Valve to fix the clipping issue but it has still persisted in 2022.

Despite the bug and the round loss, Vitality won the map (and later the series) 16-9, but it happened in game where Vitality were trailing behind 0-1 in the series after 12-16 loss on Nuke, making it potentially an upsetting one, had it happened in another, more critical round.

The PGL Antwerp Major, meanwhile is almost done with its Challengers Stage, G2 Esports and Team Vitality leading the scoreboard as #1 and #2 seeds, respectively. The Challengers Stage closes tomorrow and the tournament goes on a short break till May 14, when the Legends Stage swiss will being.
