Immortals Progressive announced on Friday evening that their organization is parting ways with support Mitchell "Destiny" Shaw. Destiny has been the starting support for Immortals Progressive since the start of the 2021 season. But after a 10th place finish in the 2022 LCS Spring Split, it looks as though the organization is looking for a change.

After a career entirely confined to the OCE region, Destiny joined a declining Origen squad in 2020, but their poor season did not stop him from being reunited with his former duo partner Quin "Raes" Korebrits, who was signed alongside Destiny as the AD carry for Immortals Progressive's 2021 squad. With Raes and Destiny, IMT had middling results, missing the 2021 LCS Mid-Season Showdown but they did qualify for the 2021 LCS Championship as the 7th postseason seed.

IMT decided to part ways with Raes before 2022, opting instead to sign AD carry Jason "WildTurtle" Tran to play in the bot lane with Destiny. However, both players ended up looking far worse with one another, to the point that IMT Academy AD carry Noh "Arrow" Dong-hyeon was promoted to play with Destiny while WildTurtle developed synergy in the LCS Academy League with support Joseph "Joey" Haslemann.

Ultimately, after a 10th place, 5-13 finish, it's natural that Immortals Progressive is looking to change things up, and Destiny may not be the only player who may have to find a new organization. Jungler Andrei "Xerxe" Dragomir is reportedly returning to the LEC to join Astralis ahead of the Summer Split.

Reports also point towards Immortals Progressive being interested in the signing of support Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun, who, despite a strong individual season with Evil Geniuses in 2021, found himself teamless for the first four months of 2022. Whether Arrow or WildTurtle will be IMT's starting AD carry in the upcoming LCS Summer Split is currently unknown.
