The 2022 LCS Spring Split has concluded and the post-season bracket has been set. Team Liquid, Cloud9, 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, FlyQuest and Golden Guardians will compete in the 2022 LCS Spring Playoffs while Dignitas QNTMPAY, Counter Logic Gaming, TSM and Immortals Progressive will have to watch the post-season from the sidelines.

Week 8 of the 2022 LCS Spring Split began with Cloud9, Team Liquid, and 100 Thieves already qualified for the post-season and all seven other teams in contention for the last three spots in the Spring Playoffs, but it came down to the wire to decide who was able to take the spots. On the first day of week 8, TSM and Immortals Progressive were both mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the post-season, and Counter Logic Gaming followed suit one day later.

However, it took until the very last day for the last three spots in the LCS Spring Playoffs to be filled.

Dignitas started the day with an upset against 100 Thieves to keep their post-season hopes alive, but EG's 9th win of the split over Counter Logic Gaming, who was starting CLG Academy in place of their LCS roster, ended DIG's playoff hopes and made EG, FLY, and GG the last three teams to qualify.

That didn't decide the post-season picture, however. Because EG, FLY and GG all finished the season at 9-9, a three-way tie for 4th place had to be broken by two tiebreaker matches to seed the rest of the bracket for the LCS Spring Playoffs.

As a result of respective head-to-head records against one another, FLY had to play against GG, with the winner playing EG for the 4th post-season seed and the loser settling for the 6th seed. FLY triumphed over GG, but was shellacked by EG.

The first round of the 2022 LCS Spring Playoffs kicks off on Saturday, April 2nd with 1st seed Team Liquid against 4th seed Evil Geniuses. The following day, 2nd seed Cloud9 will face off against 100 Thieves. The winners of the two matches will guarantee a top 3 finish in the post-season and meet each other to see who qualifies for the finals in the upper bracket, while 5th seed FLY will face off against the loser of TL vs EG and 6th seed GG will do the same with the loser of C9 vs 100.
