There are only three days left in the 2022 LCS Spring Split, and while Cloud9, Team Liquid, and 100 Thieves have already qualified for the Spring Playoffs, the seven other LCS teams are all still in contention for the final three spots spots in the post-season.

The following seven teams are still in contention for the LCS Spring Playoffs: FlyQuest, Dignitas QNTMPAY, Evil Geniuses, Golden Guardians, Counter Logic Gaming, TSM and Immortals Progressive. However, when looking at the current standings of each of these teams as well as their respective strength of schedule, the levels of likelihood of each team's potential to punch their ticket to the post-season are clearly in different levels of likelihood.

The Good: FLY, EG & GG

It would come as a shock for FlyQuest to not qualify for the LCS Spring Playoffs at this point in time. In sole possession of 4th place, FLY not only has the highest standing of the teams looking to qualify for the post-season, but has also shown they can still contend with the teams above them after an impressive win over Team Liquid in their most recent Spring Split match.

FlyQuest has a tough match against C9 to close out the Spring Split this Sunday, but a match against an inconsistent Evil Geniuses on Friday and perceived free win over last place Immortals on Saturday gives them more likelihood to qualify for the LCS Spring Playoffs than any other team looking to do the same.

Evil Geniuses and Golden Guardians are part of a three-way tie for 5th place with a shared record of 7-8. EG has shown the potential to contend with top teams, and it's not out of the question they could finish the Spring Split with a 3-0 superweek against FLY, GG, and Counter Logic Gaming. GG has a tough match to to start the week against Team Liquid, but has the possibility to coinflip against EG and should be favored in their final match of the Spring Split against Immortals. 

The Bad: DIG & CLG

It may seem unfair to put Dignitas QNTMPAY in this category — after all, they're tied for 5th with Evil Geniuses and Golden Guardians, and of the three teams tied, they've been arguably the most consistent of the trio. However, DIG's strength of schedule puts them slightly below GG and EG in terms of changes. Dignitas QNTMAPY has the hardest schedule possible to close out the Spring Split— they face off against the top 3 teams in the league in order: Cloud9, Team Liquid, and 100 Thieves.

Counter Logic Gaming is in sole possession of 8th place with a record of 5-10, but has a relatively easy schedule compared to other teams fighting for a spot in the LCS Spring Playoffs. CLG kicks of week 8 of the LCS Spring Split with matches against Immortals Progressive and TSM, the only two teams below them in the standings, and finishes regular season play against the powerful but inconsistent EG. 

The Ugly: TSM & IMT

What makes a team land in this category? A lack of agency over their own respective fates. 

At 4-11 and tied for last place, both TSM and Immortals Progressive must win all three of their last matches of the 2022 LCS Spring Split, but even then, their post-season qualifications are not guaranteed. Other teams must also lose matches to ensure that TSM and IMT can even remain in contention throughout the weekend, assuming they both go undefeated of course. It's not out of the question for either team to qualify, but the viable odds in their favor could not be much lower.
