T1 have reached an impressive achievement: the organization is on a 15-series win streak in the 2022 LCK Spring Split. With a 2-1 series win over Kwangdong Freecs on Thursday, the team has broken the record of going undefeated in the South Korean league. The previous record was held by SK Telekom—the organization that rebranded to T1—who went 14-0 in the 2015 LCK Summer Split.
With the record, T1 is almost guaranteed to finish in first place in the regular split. Their closest competitor, Gen.G, currently has a 12-3 record and has lost both their series against T1.
The almost-guaranteed first-place finish in the regular split puts T1 in an advantageous spot heading into the LCK's Spring Split playoffs. They'll be seeded directly into the upper bracket semifinals and can choose which one of the victorious quarterfinals teams they want to face off against.
With first place just one map away, T1 will pursue another achievement: finish the split with an 18-0 series record. T1's remaining opponents in the Spring Split are fift-placed team Fredit BRION, ninth-placed team Liiv SANDBOX, and DRX, currently in third place.
