Noh "Arrow" Dong-hyeon is making his return to LCS competition. According to a post on Immortals' Twitter account, the team has made the decision to play this weekend with both current starter Jason "WildTurtle" Tran, as well as Immortals Academy AD carry Arrow. The announcement marks the first time the South Korean veteran has played in the LCS since 2019 with OpTic Gaming. F

In the video posted with the announcement, Gabriel "Invert" Zoltan-Johan and Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett — two members of the Immortals coaching staff — provided details on the decision. "We found Arrow's performance and communication in both Academy matches and our scrims very good, and want to see what that is like on an LCS stage", Invert stated. "We think he have two great ADCs with different strengths, and want to see how Arrow's strength catalyze our progress as we move forward into this LCS split."

Arrow has indeed had a strong showing in the 2022 NA Academy League Spring Season. He currently stands in the top ten of several statistical categories, such as KDA, kills, and KP. So far Immortals Academy ranks fourth in the league. In the LCS, Immortals sits in seventh place with a 2-4 record. WildTurtle currently ranks near the bottom of stats such as KDA, GPM, and deaths.

Arrow has been a part of competitive League since 2013.  He first joined the LCS with Phoenix1, before moving to OpTic Gaming. After two years with them, he struggled to find success with Immortals and Wildcard Gaming, before moving to Immortals Academy late last year. His past accomplishments include, winning Champions Summer 2014 — the predecessor to LCK, the top eight of the 2015 League of Legends World Championship, and the 2017 LCS MVP Award.
