UPDATE Mar. 6: In securing their ninth win of the 2022 LEC Spring Split in their final match against Astralis, Team Vitality have punched their ticket to the Spring Playoffs. Specific seeding will not be decided until every match in the Spring Split are finished being played, but Team Vitality is guaranteed to be in the post-season alongside Excel Esports, Misfits, G2 Esports, Fnatic, and Rogue.

UPDATE Mar. 5: For the first time in the organization's history, Excel Esports have qualified for the post-season. XL joins Fnatic, Rogue, Misfits and G2 Esports in the 2022 LEC Spring Playoffs picture.

UPDATE Feb. 26: Fnatic's win over MAD Lions on day 2 of week 7 of the 2022 LEC Spring Split did not eliminate the two-time defending LEC champion from post-season contention, but the win did punch G2 Esports' ticket to the 2022 LEC Spring Playoffs.  

UPDATE Feb. 25: Misfits have qualified for the 2022 LEC Spring Playoffs in a shocking come-from-behind win against G2 Esports. Misfits was down 5,000 gold at 10 minutes into the game and G2 was knocking on their Nexus door before 20 minutes, but behind a massive Akali performance by mid laner Vincent "Vetheo" Berrié, MSF took the win to join Rogue and Fnatic in post-season qualification.

Fnatic have punched their ticket to the 2022 LEC Spring Playoffs after defeating Rogue. Rogue, who were the first team to qualify for the post-season with their 11th win of the split last week, are now only one game ahead of Fnatic in 1st place.

Fnatic is now 10-4 and holds sole possession of 2nd place, but that may not be true for long. Misfits has taken the stage against G2 Esports following Fnatic's win over Rogue, and if MSF take the win against G2, they will stay tied with Fnatic for 2nd place at 10-4, and subsequently, punch their own ticket to the LEC Spring Playoffs. If G2 win, the day will end with only Fnatic punching their post-season ticket, and MSF will be tied with G2 for 3rd place in the LEC Spring Split at a 9-5 record.

The win against Rogue was also a milestone for Fnatic as an organization, as well as for jungler Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz. Fnatic has been in the LEC since its inaugural season as the EU LCS in 2013, and the game against Rogue was the org's 600th LEC game. It was also the 100th career LEC game for Razork, who most recently started in the jungle for Misfits the past two season before signing and alleged three-year contract with Fnatic. 

It hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows for every team in the LEC on day 1 of week 7, however. 10th place Astralis lost their 12th game of the LEC Spring Split to Team BDS earlier in the day, which mathematically eliminated the team from post-season contention. With Astralis out and the duo of Rogue and Fnatic in, the other seven teams in the LEC have four days left in the Spring Split to fight for the remaining four spots in the Spring Playoffs.
