On Feb. 22, Hanwha Life Esports cleared that multiple members have tested positive for COVID-19. The confirmed cases were head coach Son “Kezman” Dae-young, coach Kim “Bibra” Hyun-sik, jungler Kim “Willer” Jeong-hyun, and bot laner Lee “SamD” Jae-hoon. Fortunately, the others all tested negative.
Yesterday, Hanwha Life Esports had said that there have been confirmed cases within the team and that the rest of the team will be tested as well. As more members have tested positive, Hanwha Life Esports will have to participate in the LCK with emergency called-up members. Hanwha Life Esports said that they’re doing their best to prevent additional cases.
Hanwha Life Esports had been struggling in the 2022 LCK Spring Split as they were placed in last place for a long time. By defeating DRX last Saturday, they collected their third win and rebounded to 7th place.
