Team Liquid's LCS roster will play their first games together as a complete roster. According to the League of Legends Global Contract Database, star support player Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in is now classified as an LCS resident, meaning Team Liquid will be able to start their full roster for Week 3 of the League Championship Series.

Team Liquid was unable to play their complete roster up until this point because of rules prohibiting the use of more than two imports per team. Going into the season, in addition to holding onto CoreJJ, Team Liquid also signed Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau and  Steven “Hans sama” Liv. Because CoreJJ had not received his green card — something that would allow him to change his residency from Korea to North America — the team was forced to use a substitute in his place to abide by LCS rules. Despite having to instead play with Bill “Eyla” Nguyen as their support for the 2022 LCS Lock In, Team Liquid managed to win the tournament.

Though Team Liquid has made no announcement on CoreJJ's eligibility, the organization's General Manager Jun "Dodo" Kang tweeted a picture of Twisted Fate holding a green card. The nontraditional card color pointed to the tweet being a hint that CoreJJ had received his green card approval.

CoreJJ is one of the greatest and most decorated players in the history of the LCS. His accomplishments include five LCS All-Pro 1st-Team awards, an LCS Most Valuable Player award, two LCS Championships, and a World Championship. Originally playing in Korea for teams such as Samsung Galaxy and Gen.G, he has competed with Team Liquid for more than three years.  The Global Contract Database now designates his residency status as NA, meaning he will now beable to compete with the team as a non-import.
