As first spotted by Michael Gwilliam of Dexerto, Twitch streamer Vuzby got a surprise visit from law enforcement during his stream on Monday.
The streamer was playing Apex Legends when he turned around to see a police officer in his room who had entered his residence after hearing what they thought was a cry for help from inside the apartment. It turns out, they had her Vuzby calling on his teammates to help him in Apex.
"Did you scream help at some point?" The police officer asked after Vuzby noticed he was inside the room.
"Maybe, yeah, for content!" the streamer replied. "You guys scared the sh*t out of me."
"Hi guys," the police officer said, addressing the stream chat and waving. "If you scream for help online and have an open window, we will come! I hope you get lots of views on your channel."
The officer explained that they happened to be outside his residence when they heard him call for help. The streamer explained that he just tends to be a little on the loud side, and luckily he wasn't in need of any assistance, beyond needing his teammates to help him survive his Apex Legends match.
The police interaction was one of the few positive police interactions we have seen on Twitch, since the majority of the time that a police officer enters a Twitch streamer's home, it is because of a swatting incident where viewers falsely report streamers to the police to have SWAT teams sent to their homes. This situation was a much more chill, and amusing, incident.
Just be aware, the next time you are yelling about enemies on your six with your window open, you might alert police nearby to your bad teammates.
