Dignitas QNTMPAY have eliminated reigning LCS champion 100 Thieves from the quarter finals of the 2022 LCS Lock In. DIG came into the series as a heavy underdog expected by most to not win a game,  but edged out a game 1 win before absolutely burying 100 Thieves in game 2.

Among the many strong performances by Dignitas, jungler Kim “River” Dong-woo, despite arriving in the US only a few days prior, looked like he had been playing with his new teammates for months as he exploited 100 Thieves' tendency to play around the bottom side of the map and matched Can "Closer" Çelik gank for gank, often coming out on the favorable end of the engagements.

Toàn "Neo" Trần also had had a great series, going deathless in game 2 and winning a crucial teamfight around the Elder Dragon in game 1 on Ezreal with some impressive maneuvering of the Prodigal Explorer.

Despite only winning a single game in Group B, it will be Dignitas and not defending LCS champion 100 Thieves that will move on to the semifinals of the 2022 LCS Lock In. The semifinals will be in a stanadard playoff format of best-of-five series. Dignitas will play against either Team Liquid or FlyQuest in the semifinals.

100 Thieves is the third team to be eliminated from the 2022 LCS Lock In. Immortals were eliminated first by guaranteeing a last place finish in Group B after losing their first three matches, and failed to win their last game against TL as well.

Yesterday, Golden Guardians, who are playing their entire Academy roster, defeated TSM , who is also playing their entire Academy roster, and a tied 1-3 record with the head-to-head going to Golden Guardians Academy resulted in TSM Academy becoming the second team eliminated from the 2022 LCS Lock In.
