Update 1/13/2022: Jidion has now been banned, presumably for harassing Pokimane
Original Article: Twitch streamer Imane "Pokimane" Anys ended her stream early Wednesday night, after viewers of the prank streamer Jidienpremium hate raided her stream at his request, harassing her and her fans in the stream chat and their Twitch whispers. At first, she thought it was bots, but eventually realized it was her fellow partnered streamer's fans in her chat who came to her stream after he told his chat to follow her and for "everybody say L + Ratio" in her chat.
On top of the normal chat spam, Poki fans also reported being harassed in their whispers by Jidion viewers, leading to Poki ending early, saying, "I think I am going to end stream because, like as much as I can deal with this, I don't like that people on his stream are whispering people on my stream. I'll put up with the bullsh*t, but I don't want you guys to put up with bullsh*t."
"I think it is against TOS to do stuff like that," Pokimane stated earlier in the stream, after the hate raid had begun. "To send your viewers to sh*t on another streamer? Because Twitch has a harassment policy. Brigading is against the rules, I am pretty sure. . . I am tired of being incels punching bag, go be sad about yourself and insecure elsewhere."
The harassing viewers came to her channel after Jidion encouraged his viewers to go harass her in the chat, while making fun of Poki on stream while watching her play VALORANT. Jidion then went on to joke about his fans harassing her even more if Poki got him banned for his earlier hate rate.
Pokimane took to Twitter to condemn the harassment, and the apathy that other streamers have toward their fellow streamers who are being harassed.
Malicious brigading is against Twitch terms of service, violating their rules against Harassment and Hateful Content. According to Twitch, it is against terms to "incite viewers to target another person with abuse, regardless of whether the targets are on or off Twitch."
