According to a report by WIRED, the TSM founder and CEO Andy “Reginald” Dinh is currently under investigation by Riot Games over accusations of bullying in the workplace.
“We are aware of the allegations made about the CEO/owner of TSM,” Riot Games stated in an email to WIRED. “As the league operator, we have engaged the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLP to conduct an independent investigation into claims of misconduct made against the leader of this team, in accordance with standard league process.”
Riot Games reportedly launched an investigation on the esports veteran in late 2021, after multiple current and former employees at TSM claimed that Reginald had bullied and verbally abused them. At a similar time, TSM confirmed that they had launched an investigation of their own. Among his purported actions, sources claimed Reginald called some employees after work to scream at them, referred to some as "worthless" or "stupid", and was known to openly berate workers in front of other staff.
The news comes after years of criticism from the League of Legends community as well as esports figures over Reginald’s behavior towards those in his company. Among the most prominent was TSM's former League of Legends champion Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, who made similar claims to the most recent report regarding the investigation.
“Reading peoples’ anecdotes that Andy was nice to them and thus downplay the fact that he harassed and abused people at TSM as their boss is just so disgusting,” Doublelift stated in a Tweet. “No wonder people don’t feel good about speaking up about their abusers."
Concerns over Reginald's behavior go back as early as 2013, when Reginald (a professional League of Legends player at the time) was heard yelling at Marcus "Dyrus" Hill while the latter was streaming.
