Twitch variety streamer and coplayer Emily"Emiru" Shunk officially became the latest personality to join the stream team One True King (OTK) as a content creator. She joins the likes of Asmongold, Esfand, Mizkif, and Jschlatt, all of whom are co-owners and content creators for the org. She was formerly a content creator for Cloud9 before joining OTK.
Emiru first became known as a League of Legends streamer when she started streaming in 2016 while still in highschool. Over the past five years, she has made a name for herself as a variety streamer and cosplayer, and currently boasts 645,000 followers on Twitch. She moved into OTK content house in Austin with Mizkif last year, so her move to join OTK wasn't unexpected.
To celebrate her official addition to the team, OTK put out an introduction video framing her as the OTK queen, wearing a crown and hanging out in a fancy castle. The video featured Esfand and Mizkif in full knight garb, rescuing her from a dragon and then meeting Asmongold dressed as a king, who offers her a place in OTK.
OTK is one of several up-and-coming powerhouses in the world of live streaming. They have signed some of the biggest names on Twitch, with Miskif, Esfand, jschlatt, and Asmongold all boasting huge follower bases across Twitch and YouTube. Jschlatt recently announced his return to livestreaming, after spending the past year primarily making videos instead of going live.
OTK has expanded its roster significantly in the past year as well, signing Schlatt, Cyr, and most Tectone in 2021. With the signing of Emiru, the Austin-based org signals that they will likely continue to expand in 2022.
