[UPDATE Dec 27] Victory Five announced that they signed top laner Lee "Rich" Jae-won, head coach Jeong "NoFe" No-chul, and coach Yoon "Zero" Kyung-sup.

Rich started his LCK career as a mid laner in Gen.G during LCK Summer split 2019, then changed to a top laner in 2020. In 2021, he signed with Nongshim RedForce as a top laner. He left NongShim RedForce last November.

NoFe started his career as a coach in 2015. He has coached in Rox Tigers, EDward Gaming, Afreeca Freecs, Hanwha Life Esports. In 2021, NoFe joined Invictus Gaming — he will reunite with Rookie for 2022 in V5.

Zero has been playing in LPL since May 2014. He retired as a pro gamer in May 2018 and became a coach for Team WE.

After playing for seven years in Invictus Gaming, Song “Rookie” Eui-jin has joined Victory Five. In early December, Invictus Gaming had announced that Rookie has become a free agent, although they were still in negotiations with him. However, Invictus Gaming soon released completely, thanking Rookie for his journey with the team. On Dec. 23, Victory Five officially announced through Weibo that they have acquired Rookie.

Since his debut in KT Rolster in 2013, Rookie had been known as one of the best mid laners in the world. After moving to the LPL in Invictus Gaming at the end of 2014, he reached the peak of his career in 2018 as he won the World Championship. The year 2021 was a struggle for him, as it was his first time failing to reach the playoffs since he joined Invictus Gaming.

Victory Five hasn’t had much success through its years in the LoL Esports scene. Since 2019, the highest they reached was 5th in the LPL playoffs in 2020 summer. In 2021, Victory Five finished 12th and 17th in spring and summer, respectively. For next year, they are aiming for a big change as they signed one of the hottest mid laners in the scene, Rookie, along with veteran jungler, Hung “Karsa” Hao-Hsuan.
