The OTs 9 SMG dropped for Warzone in Season 4, and since then it has steadily climbed the gun rankings until it reached the very top in Warzone Season 6. Now as we head into Warzone Pacific, the OTs 9 is starting on top, and it is looking like it will likely stay there for at least a while. Here are the best meta attachments for the OTs 9 SMG in Warzone Pacific Season 1, to ensure you make the most of this spectacular weapon.
Overview to the OTs 9 SMG
The OTs 9 SMG is an absolute beast in close-range combat situations. It has solid iron sites so you don't have to run an optic on it to see what you are doing, and its fire rate is capable of shredding through fully armored enemies in a fraction of a second. The big drawback for this gun is its tiny ammo capacity, but for a skilled player this gun makes up for its limited magazine size with a time to kill and relatively easy to control spray pattern.
While this gun is definitely best at close range, It can also hold its own at even middling ranges. Its effective range feels like the MP5 or the Vector, where it is best while clearing buildings, but not totally useless when you are running around in the open. With the right loadout, you can improve this weapons range, increase its ammo capacity, and add to its damage model to create one of the most deadly SMGs Warzone has ever seen.
Best attachments to use for the OTs 9 SMG in Warzone
- GRU Suppressor
- 8.1" Task force Barrel
- KGB Skeletal Stock
- VDV 40 Rn Fast Magazine
- Serpent Wrap
GRU Suppressor
The GRU suppressor is your trusted ally in Warzone. This attachment will reduce your overall recoil and keep you stealthy. Since this weapon requires you to get close and personal with enemies, it is important that you limit your footprint as much as possible. One day, Warzone might not disproportionately reward stealth, but for now, it's still best to run a suppressor on basically every weapon, and the OTs 9 SMG is no exception.
8.1" Task Force Barrel
The Task Force Barrel is the best barrel in Warzone. It has its downsides, reducing your magazine size slightly and increasing your recoil slightly, however, the damage increase, boost to range damage, and boost to bullet velocity are definitely worth it. Do be aware, if you run this attachment you will definitely want extended mags with it.
If you are looking for an alternative that won't increase your recoil or decrease your magazine size, you could swap this out for the Ranger barrel, which increases your bullet velocity by a good chunk with no big downsides.
KGB Skeletal Stock
This stock decreases your hipfire accuracy, but in exchange, you gain 30% sprint to fire time and 40% extra aim walking movement speed. This will help you be more active and responsive while in your fire fights, which is a must with a fast-paced SMG loadout like this one.
VDV 40 Rnd Fast Mag
With only 20 bullets in the magazine by default, you are definitely going to want the VDV 40 Rnd Fast Mag. This magazine boosts your bullet capacity to 40 and increases your reload speed. Even with extended magazines, this weapon still has less than 40 bullets available, but that is definitely better than living life on the edge with only 20.
Serpent Wrap
Since this weapon doesn't require an optic to be effective, we have the luxury of adding a rear grip. The Serpent Wrap is a great grip to slot in here. It will slightly reduce your spring to fire time, but in exchange, it will improve your aim down sight time, which is a far more important metric for most up-close duels. Alternatively, you could try running something like the Raider barrel if you don't want the ADS time, but I personally think the ADS time boost is great on this gun.
