LCK announced that they will hold “2021 LCK Awards” to look back to the 2021 season and express gratitude to the players who performed well this season for their efforts and results.

Awards ceremony is going to be held for the first time since the LCK Awards was introduced in the 2020 Spring. The winners of the LCK Awards have been officially announced after the Spring and Summer split ended, but there hasn’t been a separate event for awards. Although the COVID-19 quarantine guidelines have been eased, the awards ceremony will be held privately in consideration of the increase of the floating population at the end of the year. The ceremony will be uploaded in the official LCK channel for the fans. LCK said they will improve the ceremony into an offline event for the fans to enjoy the ceremony together.

As it is an award ceremony to be held at the end of the year, more awards will be added. “Player of the Year” and “Player of the Year per position” will be newly added and will be voted by LCK casters, journalists, and more. Along with the new awards, Rookie of the Year and Best Coach will be awarded to Kim “Croco” Dong-beom and Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun respectively, which has been already decided according to this year’s performance.

Also, LCK sponsors will give special awards that fit with their brands, such as "TikTok Best LCK Short Highlight Award" and "Secretlabs Best Pentakill Player Award".

Information about the award ceremony will be updated at the LCK social platforms and lolesports.com.
