Misfits has reportedly completed its roster for the 2022 LEC season as reported by Dot Esports.

Misfits mid laner Vincent "Vetheo" Berrié is contracted through the 2022 season, and top laner Shin "HiRit" Tae-min is reportedly re-signing for the next two years. Support Oskar "Vander" Bogdan will also reportedly remain with Misfits for LEC 2022. AD carry Matúš "Neon" Jakubčík, who played for FC Schalke 04 Esports in 2021, has also reportedly signed with Misfits for the next two years. Misfits Premier jungler Lucjan "Shlatan" Ahmad has reportedly been promoted to the LEC roster.

Another report by Dot Esports points towards Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz, who was the starting jungler for Misfits in 2021, signing a three-year contract with Fnatic. In addition, AD carry Kasper "Kobbe" Kobberup has signed with Astralis for the 2022 LEC season.

A report by Upcomer states that current head coach of Misfits Premier Aleksi “Hiiva” Kaikkonen will be promoted to the LEC as Misfits' strategic coach. Hiiva led Misfits Premeir to many a competitive bout against Karmine Corp, including a 2nd place finish in the 2021 LFL Spring Playoffs and and actually defeated KC in the 2021 LFL Summer Playoffs.

Misfits narrowly missed the spring post-season after a 7th place, 8-10 finish in the 2021 LEC Spring Split. Following the spring, Misfits parted ways with head coach Ilias "Enatron" Theodorou and assistant coach Alexander "Carter" Cartwright — known by Candyfloss at the time — led the squad to its first post-season in a year after a 4th place, 12-6 finish in the LEC Summer Split.

In its first round of the LEC Summer Playoffs, Misfits suffered a narrow loss to Rogue 3-2, and in the lower bracket, Misfits also lost 3-2 to Fnatic in equally competitive fashion as the first stop on Fnatic's miracle run to Worlds 2021.
