On November 14, DWG KIA announced that they have extended their contract with strategic analyst Yang "Daeny" Dae-in.

Daeny started his career in the LCK in 2020, as a coach for DAMWON Gaming [DWG KIA]. In his first year of coaching, DWG won the LoL World Championship. After winning Worlds 2020, he left the team and signed with T1 to lead the team as the head coach in 2021.

However,  T1 terminated Daeny's contract during Summer 2021, which led to him joining DWG KIA for the remainder of the season as a strategic analyst in July. He aided in elevating DWG KIA's form shortly after, leading DWG KIA to their 3rd consecutive LCK championship victory. DWG KIA proceeded to make it to the finals of Worlds 2021, only to fall to EDward Gaming after a neck-to-neck five-game series.

DWG KIA's announcement only mentioned that Daeny's contract was extended — whether or not he will continue to serve in the same position as 2021 is yet to be announced.
