Gen.G took part in a project with Make-A-Wish Korea to make a wish of a child with an incurable disease. This project was for a child who likes computer games and dreams to become a pro gamer and white hacker. The child said that they want to have fun playing games with friends. To make that wish, Gen.G prepared some time with League of Legends legend, Kang “Ambition” Chan-yong.

This project was held online due to COVID-19. The child asked Ambition about the life of a pro gamer. Afterward, they played League of Legends together with Gen.G Global Academy players.

Ambition said, “It was a meaningful experience to spend time with someone who still dreams to become a professional esports player in a difficult environment. I’m thankful to Make-A-Wish Korea and Gen.G. As long as the child’s health allows, I’d like to invite him to Gen.G’s future events. I’ll take part in activities that support children with incurable diseases.”

Make-A-Wish Korea said, “I believe the child will become more confident with the dream through this experience with Ambition. We’re thankful to Gen.G and the volunteer group for such a meaningful experience.”

In this event, short-term volunteer group Wish Maker supported Gen.G’s event. Make-A-Wish Korea provided a video game set, an online coding class package, and a Chromebook for the child.
