The Automation is one of the top ARs in Call of Duty: Vanguard, alongside the STG 44. This gun is highly deadly at longer ranges, making it the perfect rifle for anyone trying to lock down map control or hold longer angles. We put together a loadout focused on maximizing this gun's ranged potential.
Here is the best Automation loadout in Call of Duty: Vanguard!
Best attachments for the Automation in Call of Duty: Vanguard
- Muzzle: Chord Muzzle Brake
- Barrel: Anastasia Sniper
- Stock: ZAC Skeletal Stock
- Underbarrel: M3 ready Grip
- Magazine: None
- Ammo Type: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
- Proficiency: Frenzy
- Kit: On-Hand
Chord Muzzle Brake
The Chord Muzzle Break will add a straight +1 to your accuracy, maximizing the already impressive long-range accuracy of the automation. This first attachment will set the tone for the rest of the loadout, which is focused on making this gun into a deadly, long-distance laser.
Anastasia Sniper Barrel
The Anastasia Sniper Barrel will improve your damage at range, which is another way that we are boosting this gun's effective range for competitive play. This gun is not going to outfight the STG in its ideal range, so you will make the most of it by making it more effective at ranges the STG can't even dream of touching.
ZAC Skeletal Stock
The ZAC Skeletal Stock adds huge bonuses to your aim-movement speed and your aim-steadiness while moving. This is an absolute must on this weapon since you are going to need to peak a lot of corners while ADSing, and the faster and more steady you are when you peak, the more likely you are to win your gunfight. This will slow down your sprint to fire speed significantly, but this isn't the gun to be sprinting to fire anyway.
M3 Ready Grip
This grip increases your ADS speed and sprint to fire time with the Automation. The sprint to fire bonus will claw some of that back from the ZAC stock, and the ADS speed increase is more than welcome for faster response times in fights. This grip will also add even more to the aim while walking speed, which is one of the primary features we want to capitalize on with this long-range AR.
No Magazine
The magazine options on this gun all come with significant downsides to your movement and speed of weapon use, which generally aren't worth it for the extra handful of bullets. If you really need an extended magazine, the 45 round magazine has the least important penalties, but it's probably best to deal with the already decent 30 round magazine if you can.
Lengthened Ammo
This ammo type is a must on the Automation, since lengthened ammo increases your bullet velocity by a decent margin. This gun feels much more effective and responsive with the improved bullet velocity, and fast velocity goes great with this long-range build.
Stippled Grip
The Stippled Grip is going to improve your recoil control and your initial shot accuracy. There are some other grips you could consider like the Polymer grips, that would bring their own bonuses. Take whichever grip fits your playstyle best.
Frenzy
Frenzy gives you health regeneration after each kill, which is great for objective modes in particular. This proficiency will essentially keep you up and moving until someone can actually finish you, assuming you are getting your own kills.
On-Hand
This kit option will improve your equipment dexterity, which in turn minimizes the amount of time you are exposed while using the equipment. In a game as fast-paced as Vanguard, that extra second to throw a grenade can be the difference between winning and losing a gun fight.
Optic of your choice
The best optic for this weapon is going to come down to personal preference. Something with some magnification might be best, but even that comes down to your own preferred sights.
