UPDATE Dec. 20: Team BDS have finalized their 2022 LEC roster after signing GrabbZ and Duffman as head coach and head analyst.  BDS has confirmed previous reports by signing former Karmine Corp AD carry xMatty, as well as former Karmine Corp jungler Jakub "Cinkrof" Rokicki. Top laner Adam "Adam" Manaane has joined from Fnatic to reunite with his former KC teammates, while support Dino "LIMIT" was retained from the FC Schalke 04 Esports 2021 roster like NUCLEARINT.

UPDATED Nov. 10: The report has also been corroborated by Dot Esports' Pablo "Bloop" Suárez, who has claimed that sources say Team BDS' contract with xMatty will be two years.

According to a report by Jaxon's Yohan Markov, Team BDS will sign AD carry Matthew Charles "xMatty" Coombs to its roster for the 2022 LEC season. The British sharpshooter competed with LFL powerhouse Karmine Corp throughout the 2021 season, in which the squad won back-to-back EU Masters titles after dominating the French LoL esports scene.

xMatty is the third reported interest of Team BDS following their purchase of FC Schalke 04 Esports' LEC franchise slot. Reports first surfaced of Team BDS wanting to retain S04 mid laner Ilias "NUCLEARINT" Bizriken.

In addition, reports have also surfaced regarding Team BDS' interest in G2 Esports head coach Fabian "GrabbZ" Lohman, who has been placed on offers for buyout by the organization, as a means of helping Team BDS build its roster from the ground up for LEC 2022.

Despite being a minor region team, Karmine Corp has made waves throughout the League of Legends competitive scene in 2021. French President Emmanual Macron congratulated KC on its first EU Masters win of the season, and after top laner Adam "Adam" Maanane signed with Fnatic ahead of the LEC Summer Split, the team brought Lucas "Cabochard" Simon-Meslet out of retirement to run it back for a second EU Masters title.

Karmine Corp's current roster is an argument for LEC expansion, especially considering how well Adam did in transitioning to Fnatic mid-season, but with Team BDS expressing interest in xMatty, it's more likely that the team gets pulled apart by multiple offers from LEC teams.

G2 Esports is reportedly interested in signing Karmine Corp support Raphaël "Targamas" Crabbé for the 2022 LEC Season. In addition, KC mid laner Lucas "Saken" Fayard has had experience in the LEC with Team Vitality, while Cabochard has over a half-decade of LEC splits under his belt.
