Call of Duty: Vanguard is here, and it brought with it the M1 Garand, one of the most notable guns of World War 2. This gun dominates the marksman rifle category and also carries a lot of historical and sentimental significance to many Vanguard players. For those who want to master this gun, there are some attachments that can help maximize its effectiveness and deadlinessness.

Here is the best loadout for the M1 Garand in Call of Duty: Vanguard!

Best attachments for the M1 Garand in Vanguard

  • Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
  • Barrel: Cooper 21" Shrouded
  • Stock: Cooper adjustable
  • Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
  • Magazine: .30-06 16 Round Drum Mags
  • Ammo: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Granular Grip
  • Proficiency: Hardscope
  • Kit: Fully Loaded
  • Optic of your choice

F8 Stabilizer

The F8 Stabilizer adds accuracy and damage range to this rifle, which will make it the perfect rifle to take across map shots with, while remaining a very viable medium-range option as well. This will slightly negatively affect your sprint to fire speed, so if that is a concern for you, you can always roll with the L Brake, which offers a straight increase to accuracy without any penalties.

Cooper 21" Shrouded

The Cooper 21" Shrouded is the best barrel for the M1 Garand if you intend to use this as a long-range weapon. This barrel adds extra bullet velocity and range, as well as increased accuracy and reduced gun sway. These bonuses will make this gun significantly better at range.

Cooper Adjustable Stock

The Cooper Adjustable Stock adds all sorts of bonuses to the M1 Garand. You get a big buff to initial accuracy and recoil control, a large buff to aim-movement speed, better reocil recovery, and faster ADS speed. It will add penalties to your hipfire, accuracy and recoil during sustained fire, and a small hit to your movement. The biggest benefit of this stock is the aim-movement speed, which is particularly useful with snipers like this, where you often will need to peak a corner while already scoped.

Carver Foregrip

I like the Carver Foregrip on the M1 Garand because it adds recoil control and a bit of hip-fire accuracy in exchange for a small penalty to your ADS time. While that penalty isn't ideal, the recoil control on the M1 Garand is very important because you need to hit more than one shot back-to-back to kill an enemy. The standard recoil is pretty high, so anything we can do to minimize that is going to increase the time to kill of the M1 Garand.

.30-06 16 Round Drum Mags

The standard 8 round magazine is pretty limited and will leave you high and dry if you have to take on several enemies in a quick sequence. The 16 round magazines are much better, as I rarely find myself running out of ammo during a fight with these mags.

Lengthened

Lenthened ammo is a no-brainer in a long-range rifle like the M1 Garand. With lengthened equipped, you will receive a significant buff to your bullet velocity, which makes this gun feel much more responsive and hit more consistently at long range.

Granular Grip

The Granular Grip improves your aim-while-walking speed, your aim stability, and your aim-while-walking steadiness. All of these are valuable additions to a long-range rifle like the M1 Garand.

Hardscope

Hardscope is a proficiency that will improve your accuracy and recoil during sustained aiming-down sights. While you probably won't want to hardscope too often with this gun, there are definitely times when you will be aiming down sights for a while, and that is when this nice bonus will kick in!

Fully Loaded

Fully Loaded will allow you to spawn with more initial ammo, which is nice for this gun, where I often find myself running through all the included ammo relatively quickly. The kit slot for this gun is pretty open to whatever you want to put there though.

Optic of your choice

As far as scopes, there are plenty to choose from. I like the 4x-8x variable scope personally, but everyone is going to be different. Try out some scopes and see what suits you!

Lethal and Tactical grenades to run with the M1 Garand

Lethal: MK2 Frag Grenade

Tactical: S-Mine 44

A standard frag grenade is a solid option for clearing out rooms where you know enemies are hiding. You can also cook this grenade, making it even harder for enemies to dodge it. As a sniper, you can also use this to try to soften or kill an enemy behind cover.

On the tactical front, the S-Mine 44 is good for a sniper weapon, since you can use it to cover your back while you are covering an angle. Simply throw this at the entry of buildings or hidden on the area behind you, to act as both a warning and a deadly trap for opponents.

Perks to run with the M1 Garand

  • Ghost
  • Piercing Vision
  • Lightweight or Overkill

Ghost will help keep you off the minimap of others, which is a nice bonus in a game with as much chaos to handle as Vanguard.

Piercing Vision is just a ridiculous perk, that will highlight enemies through walls and smoke if you they are suppressed enough. It is basically wall-hacks, so definitely run that.

On the third slot, Overkill is a strong option with this gun, since you can then run an SMG with it to round out the loadout for short-range combat.
