Apex Legends servers have been straight up broken for the past three days, with players all around the world experiencing major issues logging into servers and having servers constantly crashing mid-game, and the fix won't be here until next week according to the developers.
The issues seemingly started when Respawn pushed patch 10.1 to the game on Tuesday. Respawn acknowledged the stability issues for a third time in an announcement on Thursday, saying the issues are so bad that they will need to work through the weekend to resolve the problems.
"We're ramping up our server capacity today and have some scheduled fixes for tomorrow," Respawn explained. "However, we believe some problems will require work through the weekend. Sincere apologies—we're working as quickly as we can on a fix."
When initial reports of instability dropped on Tuesday, Respawn investigated and claimed to have fixed the issues with the game on two separate occasions, and in both cases angered players who continued to experience major disruptions in service.
Major Apex influencers like Nick Mercs, nokokouffs, and JDCourage expressed their frustration with the situation, including Nick Mercs saying that Apex Legends "Dropped the ball" with these huge disruptions.
The whole situation is a huge PR crisis for Respawn, who has already faced recent criticism over their handling of both Apex Legends patch days and support for past titles like Titanfall 2. Hopefully, they will see this as a wake-up call about their server stability and inconsistent patch day performances.
We will keep this story updated, as Respawn released further information about rebuilding Apex Legends.
