The new raid bosses are here — this time, it’s the regional legendary triplets! Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf are available in raids for each region. In the Asia-Pacific region, Uxie will appear, from Europe, the Middle-East, Africa, and India, it’s going to be Mesprit, and in the Americas and Greenland, you’ll be able to catch Azelf.
All three are Psychic-type Pokemon. The max CP (Lv.40) of Uxie is 2,524, Mesprit is 3,058, and Azelf is 3,210. Uxie has decent defense stats while Azelf has decent attack stats, and Mesprit is… well, a bit “meh”. With the proper skillsets applied, Uxie can perform decently in the Great and Ultra Leagues, and Azelf can be used as a decent Psychic-type attacker in PVEs. As for Mesprit, Lugia is better in all aspects.
To counter Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf, you should prepare Ghost, Insect, and Dark-type Pokemon. Mega Gengar, Chandelure, and Darkrai have the highest DPS against the triplets.

As much as the three Pokemon are triplets, the best skillsets for Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf are the same. For the fast move, you should learn Confusion, and for the charged move, Future Sight.
Uxie is a decent choice when your opponents’ shields are down in PVPs — its skills and capabilities are similar to that of Cresselia’s. For Mesprit, there are many other good options out there in both PVPs and PVEs. As for Azelf, the attack stats are quite alright for PVEs. However, due to its low defensive stats, it’s not always good — it should be about the same as Espeon.

This time around, you won’t be able to catch all three of these raid bosses with conventional methods. To catch’em all, you’ll need to find friends from around the world, so get out there and find some new friends!
