100 Thieves has eliminated Cloud9 from the 2021 League Championship Series Championship in a 3-1 victory and will move on to face Team Liquid tomorrow in the grand finals. 100 Thieves has guaranteed one of the top 2 seeds to represent North America at the 2021 World Championship, while C9 will have to settle for the #3 seed.

Both teams came into the series having already qualified for Worlds 2021. After a first round bye, 100 Thieves defeated Evil Geniuses 3-2 in the upper bracket of the LCS Championship to qualify for Worlds. 100 Thieves faced off against Team Liquid with the winner going to the final undefeated, but 100 Thieves narrowly lost 3-2 and found itself in the lower bracket.

Cloud9 lost its first match of the post-season in the round 1 of the upper bracket to Team Liquid 3-1, but a lower bracket sweep against Golden Guardians followed by a 3-2 win over TSM punched C9's ticket to Worlds for the seventh time in the organization's eight-year history.

100 Thieves jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the series against Cloud9, but after a game 3 win by C9, it looked as though mid laner Luka "Perkz" Perković would lead his team to a reverse sweep from his 1-2 comfort zone. C9 fought hard in game 4, almost pulling out a win despite falling behind early, but a single flank play on a late game teamfight gave 100 Thieves the window it needed to take the 3rd C9 nexus, and with it, the series.

Despite still having the World Championship to look forward to this fall, Cloud9's LCS Championship has come to a bittersweet end. 100 Thieves, on the other hand, will fight Team Liquid for Cloud9's crown from spring as well as the #1 seed representing North America at Worlds 2021.
